Public Transportation

Want to travel like a local? Try taking Grenada's public minivans, with each displaying large window stickers showing the zone number and destination. Simply your hand to stop one. Each minivan has a driver and usually a conductor who opens the door and collects fares.

Buses are routed through nine zones across the island, with all routes starting at the Melville Street terminal in St. George, except Zone 9, which runs from the east coast to the north end. You may need to transfer buses in town to travel across the island.

Buses stop wherever needed, except in St. George and its suburbs, where there are designated bus stops. When you are ready to get off, tap on the window or roof to signal the driver. If unsure of your stop, ask the conductor or a passenger.

Buses operate from 6.00 am to 9.00 pm, Monday to Saturday, with fares ranging from EC$2.50 to EC$6.50, depending on your route.

Car Rentals

Renting a car is ideal for exploring Grenada at your own pace. Most rental agencies require drivers to be at least 25 years old. Bohamo rental car hotel delivery services will launch shortly.
