51st Independence Day
This holiday marks the 51st anniversary of Grenadian independence from British colonial rule. Celebrations include an oildown cookout, as well as a military parade held at the Kirani James Stadium.

Royal Ocean Racing Club Transatlantic Race
The 2025 RORC Transatlantic Race, marking its 11th edition, commenced on January 12th from Calero Marinas Marina Lanzarote in the Canary Islands. The 3,000-nautical-mile race across the Atlantic attracted sailors from 19 different nations, bound for Camper & Nicholsons Port Louis Marina in Grenada. This year's race was notable for its diverse fleet, record-breaking performance and the indomitable spirit of the international crews taking on top competition, as well as the Atlantic Ocean.
Viking Explorers Rally
Viking Explorers is an exciting exclusive rally with a maximum of 25 boats. It’s a small fleet where a nice family atmosphere is established. The main purpose of Viking Explorers is not the biggest possible group, but the best and friendliest that can be created.
Carriacou Parang Festival
The longstanding festival in Carriacou which started in 1977 features elements of traditional Christmas caroling blended with the humorous storytelling of the year’s events through song. A staple of this festival is the competition in which parang bands representing the various villages in Carriacou compete for prizes and bragging rights. The bands first sing traditional Christmas carols called a ‘test piece’ then increase the tempo for the ‘Melee’ parang section in which the major social happenings throughout the year are recounted in a hilarious manner.

ARC+ Atlantic Rally for Cruisers
The ARC rally makes its Caribbean landfall at Camper & Nicholsons Port Louis Marina in Grenada. This recently refurbished 227 berth marina is situated in the lagoon to the south of St George’s Harbour, and is ideally placed for the Atlantic crossing landfall. Grenada is situated at the southern end of the Windward Island chain, with superb beaches, coves and islands, it is a delightful destination, ideally placed for sailing north through some of best cruising areas in the Caribbean.
